Popular blogger and social media influencer, Tosin Ajibade also known as Olorisupergal recently held an influencer marketing training for entrepreneurs and digital media enthusiast at ILX Centre Lekki, Lagos.

Olorisupergal kicked off the seminar by defining an influencer as “a person, connecting to different people or an organization through social media, using their opinion to influence people and their choices”. According to her, a lot of brands are in search for such people. She elaborately described the various types of influencers and their relevance to the society.

Kraks TV’s Femi Bakre talked the trainees through how to get started as an influencer and the tools necessary to succeed at it. He went on to share his experiences starting out and the importance of research at the beginning stage. Femi gave out some social media tools that can help make the workload easy for influencers. He introduced attendees to tools like Buffer, Wunderlist, and more.

Aderonke Adefalujo, known as therealrhonkefella, emphasized on originality while also addressing the common mistakes influencers make. She added that integrity is key for every influencer because brands don’t associate with negativity. In her words as a fashion influencer, she said. “You can take a thousand pictures but you must carefully select the best to deliver the right message”.

Sisi Yemmie shared with the participants, a story of how she became a YouTuber and the challenges she has encountered. She went on to encourage the students to always carefully grow and engage their audience. “Be strategic, know your brand and be consistent”, she said.

Questions and answers were not left out during the event, everyone got a chance to interact with the speakers and ask as many question as possible. Certificates of participation were also handed to the attendees.
