Senator Shehu Sani sends Kanye West an invite to slave ports
Senator Shehu Sani, representing Kaduna Central in the upper chamber, has reached out to American rapper, Kanye West following the controversial statements he made while in an interview with TMZ earlier in the week.
During the interview, West who touched on his mental health, music and his plastic surgery blamed black people for their own past choices. He said, “When you hear about slavery for 400 years … For 400 years? That sounds like a choice.”
Senator Sani has now joined the thousands of influential people who are questioning Kanye’s reasoning and choice of words. He tweeted today, “If @kanyewest thinks Slavery was a choice,we will offer him a free ticket & tour guide to visit slave routes and camps in Badagry Lagos,Ouida Benin Republic,Ghana & Goree Island in Senegal to ‘experience the choices in chains’.Kanye defecated on the graves of victims”
