Marriage and child-rearing is easier on men. Agree?

Twitter user @ozzyetomi tweeted up a storm during the weekend when she raised the issues that surround parenting in Nigerian homes. According to her, parenting is easier on men and makes them lazy while their wives bear the entire, actual burden of raising kids leaving with no time to rest, go on a vacation or just be a human.

And this father easily owns up:

The #WomensMarch returned one year later, and stronger

Women in America overflowed the streets in thousands to protest against President Donald Trump and sexism, exactly one year after the first march which held in protest of Trump’s inauguration in 2017.

This time, the clamour was bigger than just Trump. In the past year, hundreds of women have come forward to share stories of abuse, harassment and the gender inequality conversation has been hotter than ever. With the #MeToo and #TimesUp movement taking centrestage, this year’s protest was fueled a deeper level of resistance.

More women in America are now running for political offices and there is an urge to also resist President Trump’s highhandedness in running the country.

Olamide’s science student and drug abuse

Rapper Olamide recently released another viral dance track, Science Student that has taken over the streets. The dance videos have been rolling in and the street is in love as usual.

But a few people are uncomfortable with the lyrics of the song and the message it seemingly passes across. Nollywood actress, Lala Akindoju shared a cryptic message condemning the promotion of drugs in music.

The people who have listened to the song and who are super conversant with its lyrics have come forward to disagree with her notion. According to them, the song actually does the opposite, they claim it preaches against drug abuse.

For many others, it’s not that deep. They just want to dance and have fun!
