WAEC presents President Buhari with a certificate
Now that Bubu is certified, what next naysayers?
President Muhammadu Buhari was on Friday presented with an attestation certificate and confirmation of school certificate result by West Africa Examination Council registrar, Dr Iyi Uwadiae.
Presidential spokesperson, Femi Adesina tweeted:
WAEC presents attestation certificate and confirmation of school cert result to President Buhari. What will the naysayers say next?

This comes after opposition party, People’s Democratic Party (PDP) challenged the president to present his school leaving certificate to electoral body, INEC. Over the years, President Buhari has not been able to present the certificate claiming his original credentials are in the possession of the Nigerian military.
Nigerians are far from convinced and have questioned the authenticity of this result. See reactions:
WAEC finally presented a certificate to Buhari. This is the bait we’ve been waiting for them to take all this while.
First of all, how come the result Buhari showed us from his principal had 8 subjects, and this WASSCE certificate now has only 6? They edited off the F9s? pic.twitter.com/wG4rJ4S7X8

For 60 years and through more than 5 election cycles Buhari could not produce a WAEC certificate. He finally got one today. Stupid people. Now you have nailed his coffin. Perjury and now forgery.
Thank you for this gift

After all said, President Buhari clears the air in a Twitter thread:
Today I received the attestation and confirmation of my 1961 West African School Certificate (WASC) Examination result, from the Registrar of the West African Examinations Council (WAEC). It was also an opportunity for me to thank WAEC for upholding its integrity over the years. pic.twitter.com/coJpMFZ0Kr

As a Nigerian military officer, it would have been impossible for me to have attended the Defence Services Staff College in India in 1973, and, after that – in 1979 – the United States Army War College, had I not sat for the WASC examinations, which I did in 1961. pic.twitter.com/pqTGMpcyC2

The late General Shehu Musa Yar’Adua was my classmate. We spent close to nine years in boarding school, at primary and secondary levels. And from there, after our WASC, we moved to join the Army, where we had to take a military examination as one of the requirements.

Now, who will confirm from the LATE General Yar’ Adua if he and Buhari were really classmates?
