Fayose is free again
Former Ekiti state governor, Ayodele Fayose has been released on bail by the Federal High Court, Ikoyi.
This comes 13 days after presenting himself at the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) office in Abuja in the most dramatic manner. The former governor showed up wearing a T-shirt that bore the inscription, “EFCC I’M HERE” and carried a travel bag containing personal items.
He was moved to Lagos where the Federal High Court granted him a N50 million bail along with a surety with landed property in Lagos and other conditions he was unable to fulfill.
Fayose’s spokesperson, Lere Olayinka tweeted on Monday evening:
Fayose just regained his freedom. He left the Federal High Court, Ikoyi a few minutes ago.
We will meet @officialEFCC
at the court from November 19.
Thank you Nigerians.— Lere Olayinka – Aresa 1 (@OlayinkaLere) October 29, 2018
