Trump ‘drowns’ on TIME Magazine cover
Days ago, US President Donald Trump’s former lawyer, Michael Cohen confessed to violating campaign finance laws by making certain covert payments for the purpose of influencing an election. Cohen added that he did so “in coordination with and at the direction of a candidate”.
In light of all his recent controversies, TIME Magazine has dedicated another cover to Trump and this time he’s struggling to stay afloat in a flooded Oval Office.
TIME collaborator, Tim O’Brien who is responsible for illustrating the cover said, “…as the never-ending flood of breaking news washed over the White House, and the firings, the scandals and the general mayhem-filled each news cycle, I felt the storm metaphor was as relevant as ever”.
Kofi Annan to receive state burial in Ghana
Former United Nations Secretary-General, Kofi Annan will be buried in a state ceremony in his home country, Ghana on September 13.
The former Nobel Peace laureate will be buried in Accra’s new military cemetery, according to Ghanaian president, Nana Akufo-Addo.
The president said of Annan, “He was one of the most illustrious people of this generation. He was like an elder brother. It’s going to be a major event for our country… I expect many leaders to be present”
Annan passed at the age of 80 last Saturday in Switzerland.
This Twitter user did not kneel for her husband at her engagement ceremony and Twitter is on fire:
Speaking of submission, during my Yoruba engagement, my husband and I told the Alagas to not use that word or ask me to kneel for him. Everyone told me it wouldn’t be possible because, culture. But guess whose knees didn’t touch the ground? pic.twitter.com/JzzwRkhlgB

See the reactions:
Guess your hubby has to get a womb also so you don’t end up carrying all kids 9months each time! Plus, your kids should probably call you by NAME and wave at you early in the morning, rather than showing visible sign of respect.

Even the Bible in Ephesians 5:22 says you should submit to your husband the same way you would to the Lord.

I hope you reached an ‘agreement’ with your hubby that you’ll maintain your maiden name after the marriage, since you guys are ‘equal’? And, particularly, that your children wont use your husband’s surname as theirs!

I really wouldn’t mind kneeling to my husband. I don’t care that much. And I fully expect dude to dobale to my parents. If I’m marrying homie, he won’t get my kneeling twisted. Lol. As for all that you’re going to your ile-okor nonsense, X that.
