President Buhari announces intention to run for second term
President Muhammadu Buhari is set to give ‘Change’ another shot in 2019 as he has officially declared his intention to run in the forthcoming presidential election.
President Buhari, who left the country today on what many suspect is another medical leave disguised as a working trip, made his intentions known at the ongoing National Executive Committee meeting of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
For everyone who has adjudged him a failure and especially for former president Olusegun Obasanjo who has twice urged him to refrain from running again, this move is a middle finger in our faces; especially considering how long it took him to make this announcement.
Nigerians are not particularly pleased with President Buhari’s announcement
Especially the ones on Twitter…
As expected, a lot of negative and cynical reactions have followed President Buhari’s declaration of interest in running Nigeria for another four years.
A group of people believe if a man has failed, he is undeserving of another chance while others are just plain tired of having old, grizzled, nearly senile men lead us.

When I say your President is extremely USELESS and does not have any integrity this is what i mean.
The old man is a shameless lair! pic.twitter.com/aZwGbE2LAL

He son Yusuf used a German hospital and all his children don’t school here but he wants to seek re-election. #RemainOrResign

OAU lecturer caught allegedly demanding sex from female student
Twitter user, Japheth Omojuwa shared an audio clip of a conversation between a female student of Obafemi Awolowo University and a male lecturer who was demanding sex in exchange for an upgrade to her marks.
Nigeria is a VERY TOUGH place to be a WOMAN! This Professor in this RECORDED phone call ALLEGEDLY requested for FIVE SEX DATES (Not 5 rounds o) to upgrade the FEMALE student from 'Fail.' Admitted he'd DONE IT with a couple of other FEMALE STUDENTS. Justice MUST BE SERVED! pic.twitter.com/c1N1gob6Oi

Other users on the app also shared horrid experiences of harassment from lecturers in the same university and others:
Mr. Sanni, Econometrics, Uni Abuja. I got an E every single time without fail. My Mum had to visit the school to ask him why, he said I don't come to greet him. I told her the last time I entered his office was the day reached across his table to tap my breast.

Story of our lives! I was lucky to escape being raped by one of my lecturers. He was a Pastor too. He added me on fb few years ago and I had to remind him of the incident. Of course he claim not to remember and asked for forgiveness. What if? https://t.co/WRBVHCS6Qi

How Juliet Ibrahim shot herself in the foot over Big Brother Naija
It’s nothing deep, just fans trading words! Deeply hurtful words!
Nollywood actress, Juliet Ibrahim was dragged through the gutters last night and most part of today after she shared a series of tweets declaring her endearment for controversial Big Brother Naija housemate, Cee C.
Only that she didn’t stop there! The Ghanaian-born actress went ahead to besmirch another housemate, Miracle who has become a popular favourite in the house for reasons Ibrahim apparently would never understand.
Why are people still voting for miracle? It’s a game show let him step out of his comfort zone. Cee C is giving us DRAMA and we are loving it! #bbnaija CeeC for the money!!! pic.twitter.com/gsvGpXp7oL
